Looking for a seasoned Lead Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage multi-cloud/hybrid cloud infrastructure for Nissan Digital. The person will be responsible for creating best practices for teams developing software Applications for Nissan worldwide on how to leverage cloud optimally. You will have the opportunity of being part of a start-up effort early on, within a large organization. You will be part of a Global DevOps team distributed across multiple locations. This position will report to the Head of DevOps.

Responsibilities:

Setup and implement a governance, billing and cloud management framework for applications to on-board onto cloud.

Technically Guide, Direct and mentor a team of Cloud engineers.

Use automation tools like Terraform and AWS CFN

Maintain and secure the cloud environments.

Troubleshoot production issues and steer them to resolution along with other teams.

Work with development teams to identify correct solutions keeping in mind cloud lock-in dangers.

Build/improve monitoring and alerting solutions.

Adopt and implement best practices and champion an engineering culture emphasizing Agile and DevOps.

Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, exciting, collaborative environment.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

6+ years of experience in implementing/leading DevOps and Cloud activities.

Must have experience in Service catalog- AWS Product onboardings, enhancements.

Nice to have Multi Cloud Knowledge

Designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS, considering factors like performance, security, and cost optimization

Developing and managing infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc. to automate the provisioning and configuration of AWS resources.

Demonstrable knowledge of professional Cloud best practices and the full software development life cycle, including source control management, build processes, CI/CD, and installation.

Leading a team of cloud engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Solid experience with Cloud networking, cloud storage, cloud infrastructure and automation tools. Eg: Exposure to VPC Peering, Monitoring Tools/Solutions

Experience with Docker/Containers / Kubernetes and how to implement containerization technologies using cloud.

Leading incident response efforts and troubleshooting complex issues related to AWS infrastructure, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on business operations.

Experience working in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams.

Documenting architectures, configurations, and processes, and sharing knowledge with the team through documentation, training sessions, and workshops to promote learning and collaboration.

Excellent verbal and written communication with a proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally.
