Job Description

Our Langhorne residential program provides gender-specific, individualized recovery services for adult men and women in Bucks County and surrounding areas. Our program also teaches women how to safely cope with physical, psychological and emotional trauma without the use of substances, empowering them to overcome feelings of victimization and move toward a life of wellness and personal growth. Men in our treatment program at Langhorne live on-site in a structured setting where they receive education, therapy and medical care to assist them in working through personal issues and ultimately overcoming their addiction. Medical Assistants obtain vital signs, urine screens, and document outcomes appropriately for medical team review.

Shift:

7:00am - 3:00pm Working every other weekend

or

3:00pm - 11:00pm Working every other weekend

Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls, complete documentation and filing as needed to support medical staff at facility.

Complete medical records.

Assist with admissions and consent process for clients and ongoing during medical appointments.

Obtain vital signs and Urine Screens and document outcomes appropriately for medical team review.

Complete lab requisitions on admission and as needed, monitor outcomes and review with medical team as needed.

Create and distribute client packets.

Maintain safe physical environment for all clients.

Maintain therapeutic relationship with clients and effectively communicate and document changes to client status in chart and/or to treatment team.

Support prior authorization and medication ordering process as needed.

Schedule follow up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed from medical team.

All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience:

Medical Assistant degree/certification or equivalent.

Drug and Alcohol/ Mental Health experience.

Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and applicable laws/ regulations, DDAP, CARF, General Office Skills and Organizational ability.
