Job Opportunity: Direct Support Professional – DSP – Grove City with ARC Industries, Inc. in Columbus, OHAre you a Direct Support Professional who enjoys working with participants with intellectual or developmental disabilities to live their life to the fullest and engage in their community? Are you looking for a supportive, caring team to work and grow with? If so, this is the opportunity for you!Schedule: Part-time: Monday through Friday 3pm-8pm, 20 hours a week$18.00 an hour! Plus, $1.50 Shift Differential!

As a DSP, you are expected to demonstrate a desire to create lasting positive impacts on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to celebrate their achieved outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

Support participants by assisting with daily living activities to male and female participants, maintaining health and personal hygiene (i.e., continence care, dressing, eating, transferring participants, etc.)

Uphold the rights, dignity and respect of all persons served as well as promote independence and self- advocacy skills. Teach new hard and soft skills in a variety of settings

Responsible for transporting participants to and from the Adult Day Services via large transportation vans/ shuttle buses

To be a Direct Support Professional, you must be:

18 years of age or older

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of experience in related field preferred, but not required

Able to work independently and exercise problem-solving skills

Ability to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds

Able to pass a background check and drug screen
