ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
TelevisaUnivision is looking for a temporary camera operator to shoot for entertainment live coverage.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
Must be able to work independently, manage simultaneous projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with flexibility to alter shifts/days off
Candidate should understand news and be news literate.
The candidate will work independently or as part of a team and will be responsible to record raw video and audio and turning it into finished product.
Driving news vehicles and/or live-transmission vehicles and operate production equipment is expected.
YOU HAVE:
0-1 years’ experience in recording and editing for broadcast and station news
Proficient in written and oral both in English and Spanish
Proficient with MAC and PC platforms, Adobe Creative software (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop) knowledge of Final Cut Pro
Above average computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) social media savvy and extraordinary people skills
High School Graduate with some college preferred
Basic knowledge of news operations and practices helpful
Applicants must have a valid Driver’s license, and a clean driving record
Must be willing to work from office in the Miami office and other locations
Employment/education will be verified
Must adapt to flexible schedule with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach and sit for up to (8) hours and lift 25-50 lbs.
