Our Ideal Candidate

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for producing infrastructure layout and detail drawings, while adhering to company procedures, engineering criteria, design standards and applicable codes. Municipal linear infrastructure is a must. Reservoir, pump/lift station and highway design experience are also highly favorable.

A Day in the Life

You will work using AutoCAD and interface regularly with other disciplines, vendors and clients. Construction field visits may be required, as well as a solid commitment to fostering and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for producing civil engineering drawings, while adhering to company procedures, engineering criteria, design standards, applicable standards and client standards. You will contribute efficiently to a team environment while paying attention to detail and meeting deadlines. You will work using Civil 3D, while interfacing regularly with others in the company.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Diploma of Technology in a Civil program, EDDT is preferred

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with 3-5 years experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and Bluebeam Revu

Ability to assist in material take offs, and processing as-built data

Experience with BC MoTI drawing standards for bridges and highways an asset

Experience completing field reviews for various civil construction projects, including tracking and reporting on the status of inspection activities

Experience assisting with the administration of construction contracts

Experience with coordinate systems and processing survey data

Experience in earthworks design; road, pond and ditch design

Experience in municipal or subdivision site development engineering design

Experience in mechanical/process piping, small building structures and concrete structures are considered an asset

Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment

Good organization skills, technical competence and strong attention to detail

Competitive salary of 75k-100k Depending on experience
