Chemical Plating Specialist/Chemist

Employbridge is seeking Plating Specialists/Chemists for a Great opportunity in Eagan, MN! This is a family-owned company with great atmosphere and a tight-knit community!

Job Duties:

Utilize previously outlined processes for various regular job orders

R&D – use knowledge of chemistry to deduce new/more effective processes or to assist in the presentation of newly designed processes

Using knowledge of plating/finishing, produce parts that meet customer needs through verified processes

Record new processes, and test to ensure consistency

Develop innovative and “out-of-the-box” solutions to various plating/finishing need

Recommends production modifications and process changes

Operate and maintain chemical baths

Test, alter, and produce chemical baths required for production/testing

Assist in the production of a variety of metal parts ranging in size, from grams to pounds.

Knowledge required:

Extensive knowledge of chemical plating, electroplating, passivation, specialized cleaning, Metal Etching, chemical bath maintenance, acid testing, chemical mixing/chemistry are REQUIRED.

Strong understanding of various metals, and their properties

3-5 years within a similar role

OR 2-3 years in a similar role and a Bachelor’s in related field.

Ability to communicate within several departments

Ability to document processes (write and review)

REQUIRES an ability to work independently with minimal supervision

HAZMAT certification is a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
