Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team at a tobacco store. The ideal candidate should have a passion for customer service, a deep knowledge of tobacco products, and a proven track record in sales. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting tobacco products, and driving sales while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and product requests.

Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences.

Sales:

Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas.

Actively engage with customers to upsell and cross-sell tobacco products.

Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash registers.

Product Knowledge:

Stay up-to-date with the latest tobacco products and accessories.

Educate customers about product features, benefits, and differences.

Ensure compliance with age verification procedures for tobacco sales.

Inventory Management:

Assist in receiving, organizing, and stocking tobacco products.

Monitor and report inventory levels to the store manager.

Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with reordering as needed.

Store Maintenance:

Maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Perform routine cleaning and restocking tasks.

Report any maintenance or safety issues to the store manager.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tobacco laws and regulations.

Verify the age of customers before selling tobacco products.

Keep records of tobacco sales and report them as required.

Teamwork:

Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve store goals.

Assist in training new hires and sharing knowledge about products.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Sales Representative in a tobacco store or similar environment.

Strong knowledge of various tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, and smokeless tobacco.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic computer skills for using point-of-sale systems.

Knowledge of and commitment to adhering to tobacco regulations and age restrictions.

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry boxes of tobacco products, up to [50lbs].

Comfortable working in a tobacco-smoke environment.
