Position Overview:

We are seeking a proficient and empathetic Bilingual Medical Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish with a strong background in medical terminology and exceptional communication skills. The Bilingual Medical Operator will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between patients and medical staff.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and medical staff, providing assistance and support in both English and Spanish.

Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

Translate medical documents, forms, and instructions accurately to ensure clear communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Assist with patient intake, including verifying insurance information, collecting patient data, and updating medical records.

Relay critical information between patients and medical staff, ensuring accurate interpretation and understanding.

Provide assistance with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.

Uphold the highest standards of customer service and confidentiality in all interactions with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous experience in a medical setting or healthcare-related field is highly

desirable.

Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to accurately translate complex

medical information.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with

individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and

professionalism.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
