Overview: The Quality Manager ensures adherence to and advancement towards the quality objectives of the organization. As the head of the quality department, this role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards and practices. The manager oversees the quality system to promote a culture of compliance and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Business Unit Quality Director, the Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in aligning customer expectations with regulatory requirements and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion a culture of quality across the organization through proactive engagement and regular communications.

Coach and empower the team to enhance organizational strength and foster resilience and curiosity.

Act as a business partner in achieving broader business objectives, ensuring the integration of quality with overall business strategy.

Drive compliance in a regulated environment, enhancing understanding and cross-functional collaboration.

Advocate and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to develop a compliant yet agile Quality System.

Promote 'quality at the source', emphasizing the reduction of variation and enhancement of process capability.

Develop and maintain a data analysis framework to support effective decision-making and prioritization.

Lead Environmental Compliance and Employee Health and Safety initiatives, in partnership with the Plant Manager and HR Manager.

Manage non-conformance and CAPA processes to address quality issues swiftly.

Interface with customers on quality-related matters and support new product introductions.

Lead continuous improvement projects within Quality Control and Document Control areas.

Participate in audits and lead change efforts to minimize internal rework and scrap, enhancing KPI metrics.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree (Required), Master's degree (Preferred).

Experience:

5+ years in Quality roles within a highly regulated industry (Medical Devices, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Food, or Nuclear) (Required).

5+ years in leadership roles, with a preference for experience in a manufacturing environment (Required).

Experience in a matrixed organization with a dotted line reporting structure (Required).

Experience being customer-facing and supporting new product introduction (Required).

Skills: Extensive experience in problem-solving, data analysis tools, and SOPs. Working knowledge in change leadership, decision-making, communication, and computer skills. Basic knowledge of Power BI.

Certifications: Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) by ASQ (Preferred).

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Some flexibility based on candidate qualifications. Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.
