HVAC/R Install Technician

Job Description

Job requirements

Install, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, heating systems, and ventilation components.

Perform installation of new equipment, ductwork, piping and wiring according to specifications and building codes.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC/R systems, identify repair needs, and implement solutions.

Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure installations are completed accurately an on schedule.

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC/R systems.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards throughout the installation process.

Maintain accurate documentation of project details, including installation reports, equipment specifications, and inventory records.

Be able to travel outside of our main territory, including but not limited to overnights stays for certain projects.

Provide excellent customer service, address client issues, and maintain positive relationships with customers.

Qualifications

Verifiable experience in commercial refrigeration installation, including firsthand experience with various refrigeration systems, such as walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigerated display cases and HVAC systems.

Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, systems components, safety guidelines, and installation techniques.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

Commitment to safe practices and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for the team and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with team members and clients.

HVAC/R certification or relevant trade qualifications preferred.

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments (e.g., rooftops)

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
