Production Engineer

NEW PRODUCTION ENGINEER JOB IN FAREHAM, HAMPSHIRE.

A leading design and manufacturer of complex sensing technology for the energy industry are looking for a up and coming Production Engineer to join their continuously growing business in Fareham, Hampshire. They have 20+ years in the industry and they are looking to add a Production Engineer to their Fareham, Hampshire team.

About the role: As a Production Engineer you will be responsible for the overall equipment effectiveness through effective hands-on preventative maintenance and corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime. Additionally, you will be providing engineering support to the operations and ensuring continuous improvement.

Duties will include:

Diagnose and root cause of system and component failure.

Managing the engineering data parts (BoM's, specifications and test requirements).

Generate production documentation such as assembly instruction, process improvements and testing reports.

Support the operation and engineering team through process improvement of all electrical/electronic production equipment..

Qualifications and Experience:

HNC or above in electronics

Have experience working in high-precision electronics manufacturing environments.

Experience in electronic instrumentation.

Knowledge of repair fault finding down to component level.

Skills and Attributes

Commitment to continuous improvement.

Experience with wiring harnesses and electrical cables.

Proven ability to contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Strong decision-making skills with a bias for action.

Desirable:

Software/firmware programming experience

hands on experience in designing, testing and validation microcontroller-based PCB designs.

Theoretical or practical experience in optical fibre systems
