Job Description
As a Technical Product Owner you will be responsible for setting, prioritizing, and evaluating the work generated by our Scrum team to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the product. You are highly-motivated with a genuine interest in technology. You have a passion to deliver cutting-edge products, and the best software solutions to our innovative and industry-leading products. Experience in automotive marketing and hosting websites at scale a big plus.
This is a full-time, salaried, remote position headquartered in Herndon, VA. Eastern and Central time zones, highly preferred, but all applicants welcome. Applicants located in Pacific or Mountain time zones must be willing to work eastern time hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project, and create requirements
Ensure the team always has suitable, prepared tasks in the pipeline
Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Work closely with support, field, and executive teams to prioritize and define tasks.
Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
Follow the automotive industry and competitors
REQUIREMENTS
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
3+ years’ professional experience as a Technical Product Owner or Development Manager
Experience leading offshore software teams, following Agile best practices
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 to debug issues and understand the underlying data structures
Experience in software development using .Net and modern web frameworks, a plus
Having a technical background as software developer or QA tester, a big plus!
Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills

COMPENSATION
