MobilizeGreen seeks a conservation-minded 16 week Architectural Historian NPS Conservation Fellows Intern to support the Alaska Regional Office of the National Park Service in the completion of condition assessments of heritage assets at Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve and Sitka National Historical Park. As an intern, you will perform site visits in tandem with the regional Historical Architect or the Architectural Historian, during which you will complete condition assessments of the structures on the site, develop work orders to correct deficiencies, and take updated photographs. You will then use your findings to complete and submit the application to add these heritage assets to the National Register. Through this internship, you will help deepen understanding of the history and character of these sites and provide a path forward to preserve them.

The NPS Conservation Fellows program is a unique opportunity designed for current undergraduate, graduate, or PhD students to launch their natural and cultural resources careers. The intern will receive hands-on learning experience, mentorship, and coaching to complete mission-critical work while developing leadership, critical thinking, and strategic communication skills. This is a developmental program.
