RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities of this Shop Foreman position include, but are not limited to:

Understand, clarify, organize, and communicate work order expectations

Clarify and review designs with Project Manager and engineering

Communicate with Engineering and Production Coordinator when conflicts arise

Plan and manage resources (manpower, subcontractors, materials, and equipment)

Organize materials, kitted jobs and work orders in preparation of the start date

Manage materials usage tickets and accuracy of daily reported labor

Provide sufficient information and instruction to staff to accomplish fabrication

Measure and check tolerances for accuracy

Assist laborers as needed throughout jobs to assist production flow and stimulate productivity

Implement and hold others accountable for daily production goals

Ensure safety compliance of staff and visitors

Shop floor organization, maintenance and house keeping

Collaborate with QC Manager and Production Coordinator on daily progress, issues and successes

Develop, improve, modify, and follow processes and procedures

Implement and hold others accountable for daily production goals

Participate in After Action Reviews (analysis) of completed work orders

Conduct employee reviews with the Production Coordinator

Strengthen capabilities through nurturing and developing staff skills QUALIFICATIONSRequired

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 8 years’ experience in metal fabrication environment

Minimum 3 years’ supervision/management experience

Must be able to work as a team member

Must be able to work in a multi-task environment with interruptions

Basic Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Relevant technical knowledge and skill in fabrication trades of cutting, forming, welding, and polishing

Familiar with computer controlled fabricating equipment (Waterjet, Press Brake, etc.)Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings (weld symbols, BOMs, P&IDs, flat patterns)Preferred

Fabrication of stainless-steel knowledge

10 years’ experience in metal fabrication environment6 years’ supervision/management experience

Experience setting daily/weekly schedule and goals

Industry experience in Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Personal Care products, Process Systems

Experience installing tanks, pumps, systems, etc

Familiarity with CNC systems and maintenance of fabrication equipment and tools

2D and/or 3D CAD exposure (plotting prints, making redlines, dimensioning)

Desired

Professional training in management, productivity or coaching

OSHA 40 Certified

Ability to use and read precision measurement equipment

Autodesk suite familiarity (Inventor, AutoCAD)

Microsoft OneNote

Global Shop (ERP)Additional position requirements:

Ability to travel (by car and airplane)

Clean driving record

Pass background check

Ability to work weekend shifts
