BWC is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that may incorporate both teleworking and in-person office hours. Employees must be able to report to the office when requested by management &/or for their initial job training.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Under general supervision of the Data Warehouse Manager, this position will assist in the design & implementation of efficient transfer of data, monitor data transfer processes, resolve data conflicts & inappropriate use of data, provide ELT (Extract/Load/Transform) & data warehouse support, build tables & load scripts, & write platform specific code for data migrations.

Assisting higher-level staff with designing, developing, testing, implementing, & supporting complex platform-specific ELT code using development, replication, & administration tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Snowflake, DBT)

Performing data migrations & business process monitoring designs.

Implementing high-availability solutions across multiple data warehouse/reporting environments.

Assisting in the resolution of problems & issues (e.g., performance, availability, data integrity, security, business customer requests, reports).

Working with Data Warehouse Architect, IT Architecture staff, CIO, & IT managers to design solutions which meet BWC requirements.

May assist higher-level staff to author portions of solution business cases.

Developing tests, implementing, & supporting reporting & Business Intelligence (BI) code (e.g., Cognos Studios & BI tools, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI).

Required Experience and/or Education:

36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: database administration providing Tier I support to information system users and/or IT staff, assisting with data modeling and conducting performance tuning and configuration including 12 mos. work experience in Data Warehouse specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.

Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: database administration providing Tier I support to information system users and/or IT staff, assisting with data modeling and conducting performance tuning and configuration including 12 mos. work experience in Data Warehouse specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.

Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: database administration providing Tier I support to information system users and/or IT staff, assisting with data modeling and conducting performance tuning and configuration including 12 mos. work experience in Data Warehouse specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.

Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
