Programmer Analyst

Job Description

The AS400 Programmer Analyst will design, develop, maintain and support corporate software applications and EDI programs on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) using RPG/LE, SQL and CL.

The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Coordinate and manage corporate IT projects.

Work on all aspects of software application development including:

Requirements Definition

Technical Design

Programming/Testing

Implementation

Support and maintain existing software applications including troubleshooting software “bugs' and applying software patches, fixes, and upgrades

Train users on new corporate software applications

Document program changes/enhancements related to corporate software

Bar coding

Other miscellaneous duties as required

Position Requirements

Self starter - Must have at least five years operations/programming experience in an IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment.

Must be proficient with RPG (III,LE & Free), CL, SQL programming languages

Experience with EDI mapping

Experience with IBMi Operations

Experience with Turning Point/DISTRACK or VAI SK2 or other distribution software helpful

Strong writing and oral communication skills

Project management skills

Proficiency in MS/Office

Able to work constructively and independently

Able to work on multiple consecutive projects

Must work on-site
