Daytime Fulfillment Package Handler

Job Description

Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and independent worker who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Fulfillment Package Handler you would unload, sort, and palletize freight.

Hours and Wages:

Monday - Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM

5 hours of overtime may be expected each week

Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week

Starting wage: $18.00-19.50 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

Unloads packages by hand from inbound vehicles

Loads, unloads, and moves palletized freight with manual and power pallet jacks

Un-palletizes and sorts freight in a timely manner

Scans barcode labels of packages for tracking and billing purposes

Sorts each package according to product type and/or destination

Stacks freight onto pallets in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently

Secures palletized freight prior to shipment using shrink wrap machines

Assists or leads process of picking product according to customer requests

Performs light custodial duties to maintain a clean & safe warehouse environment

Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age

Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on feet

Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.

Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently

Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
