The Position: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Arc Shop Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical maintenance activities within the melt shop, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of electrical maintenance technicians in the melt shop.

Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks for electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime.

Conduct regular inspections to identify and address electrical issues promptly.

Collaborate with the operations and engineering teams to optimize electrical performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, ensuring minimal disruption to production.

Maintain and update documentation related to electrical systems, including manuals and schematics.

Implement safety procedures and protocols to promote a secure working environment.

Train and develop maintenance personnel in electrical best practices and safety guidelines.

Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.

Collaborate with procurement to ensure availability of spare parts and necessary resources.

Interface effectively with other members of supervision, personnel from other departments and ISWA personnel.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting, preferably in a melt shop environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation.

Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a maintenance team.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

Understanding of safety regulations and commitment to creating a safe work environment.

Effective communication skills for coordinating with various teams and providing clear instructions.

Must be capable of supervising employees according to union rules and regulations

PAY RANGE: $59,400 - $74,250

12% DISCRETIONARY TARGET BONUS
