A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLANT MANAGER

In this plant management position, you play an essential role in managing our Elkhart production warehouse. You are responsible for safely managing the day-to-day operations at your assigned location. To increase productivity, you encourage continuous improvement among your employees as well as implement and enforce company standards to ensure our products exceed customer expectations. Based on the daily and weekly schedules, you coordinate production floor goals and establish operational objectives to ensure on-time deliveries of products.

To keep your team running smoothly, you assist with hiring local personnel. You work hard to build effective teams, as well as, ensure your employees have the proper training they need. Using your exceptional organizational skills, you keep track of inventory management using our ERP system as well as make sure we have sufficient supplies to successfully complete each day's activities. You maintain consistent communication with our main branch and report any issues that arise. You enjoy being an effective leader and keeping your team motivated to do good work, which is why you are perfect for this plant management position!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PLANT MANAGER

2+ years of experience in a similar position

Knowledge of basic manufacturing and warehousing processes and operations

Good computer skills, including knowledge about operating systems and email

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis

Ability to perform basic math skills

Willingness to perform physical labor

Leadership skills

Having a college degree is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Can you effectively prioritize tasks while demonstrating good time management? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team? Are you good at taking the initiative? Can you easily adapt to a fast-paced environment? If so, you might just be perfect for this plant management position!

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A PLANT MANAGER

Standard warehouse operating hours, which are 6:00am - 3:00pm - as needed (1st shift).
