Construction Project Engineer/Project Manager

Project Manager/Project Engineer:

WGK Construction is an established and rapidly growing company, run by two Principal Engineers with lengthy backgrounds in the Water/Wastewater industry. WGK is based in Northern Virginia, and our projects span across the Virginia region. We are searching for a Project Manager/Project Engineer based out of the Northern Virginia office to handle water/wastewater projects in the Virginia Region that span from $2M-$8M.

Qualifications:

2-5+ years related experience in project management/engineering, strong preference for water/wastewater projects, as either a lead or assistant

Strong communication skills, highly organized, and capable of working in a diverse environment handling multiple tasks

Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred

Prior experience with a general contractor handling estimating and scheduling experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordination and management of day-to-day operations, maintenance, administrative duties, and client communications for Water/Wastewater construction projects that run from 2months - 2+ years in duration

Facilitate multiple, concurrent small and large project delivery and execution (including managing sub-consultants) on time, on budget, and with the expected level of quality

Work closely with Owners on job tracking and profitability

Work will be primarily at the office (VA or NC depending on your location) You may be required to travel to multiple job sites for meetings with the Owner/Operators (job expenses will be fully reimbursed) but travel is NOT a regular function of this position.
