CARESTL HEALTH is a Non for Profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving St. Louis communities and school-based operations.
CareSTL Health is seeking Public Safety Officers. Public Safety Officers are responsible for ensuring the routine safety and well-being of all staff, visitors, and patients across each of the organization's health center locations. This position has responsibility for demonstrating the core values of CareSTL Health: Customer Service, Community, Commitment, Compassion, and Competence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Public Safety Officer may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Other duties may be assigned.
Partners with Health Center staff to alleviate potential security threats.
Provides emergency response to a variety of situations.
(Acts in the capacity of a safety escort to personnel, patients, and visitors requesting. escort.
Monitors facility to ensure that guidelines and policies are observed, utilizing electronic surveillance system(s), and physical tours of the health center areas.
Patrol buildings and parking lots on a routine basis and identify unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas/property to help prevent theft, injuries, or damage.
Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED as applicable
Higher education as applicable
Experience:
Must have 1-3 years of related experience in security.
Experience in security in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good oral and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational and self-motivational skills.
Transportation Requirement:
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to travel up 20% of the time.

None
Additional Eligibility Qualifications (licenses, programs, certificates, pre-employment check and post and annual screening(s).
Copy of High School Diploma/GED as applicable
Copy of Transcript or Diploma, licenses, and certificates as applicable
Current Registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
PPD or Chest X-ray
COVID Vaccination
Current BLS/CPR Certification as applicable
Shall obtain a Security License through St. Louis County Private Security Division on the first day of employment with CareSTL Health.
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates)
Completed all training courses that St. Louis County Private Security Division requires to maintain a valid Security License.
Additional Information:
Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
11 paid holidays per year.
