Job Description

The telecommunications administrator will support Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) S-6, Communication Information Systems Directorate and be responsible for managing installations and repairs for voice network systems.

Duties/Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

Support PBX phone systems and VoIP, voice mail systems and call-recording, such as automatic call distributor (ACD), call accounting, and attendant console support in collaboration with vendors, telecom carriers, and network monitoring services for issues like phone line infrastructure, solution analysis, and support issues.

Maintain documentation regarding telephony systems, call-recording systems, and wide area network (WAN) maintenance.

Maintain compliance with network and equipment availability service agreements.

Evaluate and resolve software and hardware of telecom systems.

Provide technical direction and training on network systems.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

At start date of October 22nd, must possess one or more of the following current certifications in ACTIVE status: CCNA – Cisco-Certified Network Associate, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, BCSI – OSP, BCSI - Installer

7+ years of experience supporting local, regional Voice network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.

5+ years of experience in a role directly supporting Cisco Unified Call Manager with at least a thousand endpoints.

3+ years of experience with Cisco Unity.

Experience with:

Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP

TCP/IP, SIP, H.323, RTP, RTCP

Experience designing, implementing, and operating Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) devices.

Experience using Wireshark and or packet capture tools to troubleshoot VoIP sessions.

Ability to bulk deploy configuration to hundreds or thousands of endpoints.

In-depth knowledge of CUCM including call routing, calling search space, route group, route list and standard local route group.

Strong knowledge of strategic network management across an entire theater or region.

Ability to work with a team and work well with tight deadlines.

The ability to interpret technical manuals and schematic designs.

A detail-oriented disposition, with superb technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Strong communication, customer service skills and experience interfacing with General Officers and other senior leadership.

Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.

All applicants must have current DoD SECRET clearance day one with the ability to pass an SSBI background investigation to up-scope their clearance to Top Secret.
