As a Air Force Requirements SME you will lead or support projects with DoD or other Federal or Corporate customers defining, documenting, and staffing aircraft and related system requirements. Our team brings current, expert knowledge to assist our customers and they typically support more than one project at a time, providing variety in the work and security against any issues related to a single contract.

This position is located within the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, with occasional travel required to support customers in other locations within the US. Some remote work will be allowed.

In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Air Force, and other Services’ requirements analysis, development, and document production. You will be expected to support a wide variety of analytical projects involving requirements generation, concept of operation development, roadmap development, and life-cycle acquisition support. You will work with senior government personnel on a regular basis and frequently be called on to provide briefings and lead large meetings. At times projects will require an client-site presence in addition to working from a Serco office. Work will include some or all of the following:

Provide objective analysis, insight, and recommendations to customers on a wide variety of topics

Develop sophisticated products such as Concepts of Operations, JCIDS documents (ICDs, CDDs, etc.), and analytical studies and policy documents

Participate in and lead collaborative working groups such as IPTs and coordinate staffing among a variety of government and industry organizations

Develop and present high-level briefings to senior government or corporate customers

May serve in project management positions

Support bid and proposal review/analysis

Contribute to business development initiatives of the company

To be successful in this role you will have in-depth knowledge of fifth generation aircraft. Specifically, you will have:

A DoD Top Secret Clearance

A Bachelor’s Degree

10 years of experience

Recent (within the past 8 years) experience at Air Combat Command HQs highly desired – other MAJCOM experience acceptable

Located in, or willing to relocate to the Hampton Roads area

Experience in United States Air Force operations

Experience working in large groups

Experience briefing senior military officers

Experience supporting requirements generation, resource analysis, and Joint Capabilities Integrated Development System (JCIDS)

Ability to travel occasionally (10-15%)

Additional desired experience and skills:

Master’s Degree

Experience developing or staffing JCIDS documents

SCI Clearance eligibility

Previous SAP exposure
