Your new company Our client’s is a North American leader of long-term care and healthcare facilities.

They are well-established and are looking to add an experienced Architectural Professional to their team as the Design Manager.

Our client is seeking a full-time Design Manager who will assist with project design from early feasibility studies to concept development and project design, through to completion of multiple simultaneous long-term care projects.

You will meet with key stakeholders, including operations and facilities teams to determine their project needs and requirements, and coordinate the planning approvals process with consultants and municipalities.

You will manage projects throughout the design lifecycle, as well as Consultant Teams to ensure that they complete the preparation of drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

This role is also responsible for ensuring that design complies with Ministry of Long-Term Care Design Guidelines, safety standards and local planning regulations.

As the Design Manager, you will have an educational background in architecture with 5+ years of relevant project management experience, preferably within the healthcare sector within Canada.

An in-depth understanding of local zoning and SPA processes is vital, with strong technical capabilities and a proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, confidence to participate in presentations with a variety of project stakeholders, and solid creative & visualization skills are of great importance.

A strong understanding of OBC, NBC is required, with MLTC being a great asset.

The compensation package is commensurate with experience but includes a competitive salary, between $90k-$110k + 10% bonus, 4 weeks' vacation + additional paid sick/personal days, extended health and dental benefits, and an RRSP contribution program.

The organization works in a hybrid capacity, with 2-3 days per week in office.

Occasional travel to project sites during construction phase will be required.
