The Field Safety Advisor is responsible for collaboratively working with operational staff and will place a high emphasis on building a positive safety culture and community for all CSV employees and contractors.

The Field Safety Advisor will work with operations to ensure on-site effective implementation and maintenance of the CSV Safety Management System.

The Field Safety Advisor will observe and understand current site operations, equipment and procedures to identify improvement opportunities to current practices.

This is a field-based position based in the Grande Prairie area.

Local accommodations are required.

Camp is not provided.

Driving to different sites in the area is required (company-provided truck). Specific Responsibilities Leading and lagging indicator reporting, including guidance and coaching to operations staff as needed.

Review and audit of safety inspections completed by Operations.

Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Assist with Safe Work Practices, SOP/COP review and development.

Working with operations to ensure issuing/receiving and closing of safe work permits, hot work permits, confined space etc.

are administered and managed.

Work with operations to administer and manage safety orientations.

Confirmation of site training requirements (ticket validation). Working with operations to Audit the Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) system and ensure proper procedures are followed (per COPs and SOPs) and documentation managed.

Assist in the development and implementation of Site Specific Safety Plans.

Ensure establishment of adequate control processes and implementation per local regulations and CSV expectations.

This may include: Support assessments of CSVs safety management systems Support risk assessments to ensure health and safety risks are properly understood and addressed.

Support and / or participate in investigations and follow-up of incidents.

Develop safety related lessons learned for sharing across the corporation.

Actively identify improvement opportunities within all areas of safety / health / security and emergency preparedness.

Additional Responsibilities Act as the on-site liaison between on site operations and the Corporate Safety Team (and Construction Safety Team when required) through the effective communication of all site safety concerns, incident trends, implementation of corrective actions and safety performance.

Assess compliance with the applicable safety codes, procedures, relevant documentation, and commitments.

Participation in the investigation of safety, environmental and regulatory incidents working to improve and ensure compliance at the work location Conduct or participate in Safety meetings and reports (i.e.

jobsite inspection reports, incident/accident reports, tailgate meetings, JHSC meetings and weekly/monthly meetings and associated sign-in and documentation) and encourage worker and field supervisor participation Ensure and assist with communication of identified concerns and facilitate the appropriate signoff upon resolution.

If appropriate, communicate learnings (ie.

safety bulletin, safety meeting discussion etc.) Conduct regular inspections/walkabouts to ensure compliance with all legislation and company policies, standards, procedures and rules.

Assist in satisfying all requirements of the Safety Management System.

Support operations and functional management in the achievement of corporate initiatives.

Assist the Operations Team with general, pre-job and regular safety meetings where practical.

Supply information and provide guidance regarding meeting structure and content Assist in the maintenance of emergency response plans, standards, procedures and site-specific work plans.

Skills and Knowledge Understanding of the oil and gas facility, pipeline construction and operations industry.

Experience with Gas Processing Plants is a key asset Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Acts, Regulations and Codes and how it pertains to daily field tasks.

Ability to effectively lead and influence teams.

Ability to represent the Company in front of CSV workers in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to effectively communicate in large crowd settings.

Ability to maintain a professional attitude in high pressure settings.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Occupational Health & Safety Certificate, NCSO, and/or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) and/or Canadian Registered Safety Professional Designation (CRSP) is an asset Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship Valid class 5 driver's licence (or equivalent) Live local to the Grande Prairie area or willing to relocate (This is not a camp-based position) What We Offer CSV offers a competitive compensation package as well as relocation support.
