Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the plant's mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, piping systems, generators, air compressors, water heaters, and other industrial equipment.

Responsibilities:

Inspects, repairs, services, and maintains structures, piping, centrifugal and pneumatic pumps, valves, and filtration equipment

Replaces and rebuilds pumps, blowers, bearings, broken valves, leaky pipes and faulty equipment as directed

Works with chemicals, follows proper plant PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) procedures

Performs repairs to PVC and FRP piping such as thermoplastic welding and fiberglass

Assist in root cause failure analysis of equipment and electrolyzer cells

Understand the various plant systems and perform repairs in a safe manner keeping downtime to a minimum

Read and comprehend maintenance manuals, as well as mechanical and electrical prints

Operate a forklift, frontend loader, man lift

Requirements:

Positive attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers and others

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Team-oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to work after hours and participate in maintenance on-call rotation

Must have personal set of tools appropriate for the position

Qualifications:

High school diploma

Must have 2 years mechanical / Trade experience
