Description:

Intro:

The Jr. Graphic & UX designer role at Veracity Insurance Solutions is where talented, upbeat, & versatile creatives can hone their skills, receive coaching and professional development from Sr. Designers, and build a portfolio of marketing design that has a huge impact on high-revenue projects. Like Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Veracity Insurance is the place where Jr. Designers refine their existing talents and get assigned to tons of sweet missions where you unleash your abilities and punch mediocrity in the throat.

You’ll design for live, high-traffic websites. You’ll work with Paid Media Specialists to create awesome ad campaigns. You’ll even get chances to expand your skills under the guidance of killer design pros. You’ll work with professional writers, marketing strategists, SEO specialists, and other top-class marketing pros that set you up for success.

Long story short: make cool stuff with cool people and grow professionally while you do it.

About Veracity Insurance Solutions

Think insurance is boring? Well, yeah… okay maybe. But we’re not boring and neither are our customers. We’re a marketing department that happens to sell insurance. And we market to all sorts of businesses, from bartenders to DJs and musicians, from pet groomers to wildlife photographers. With cool industries to connect with and a focus on bringing revolutionary tech to the insurance world, you’ll be part of an “insurtech” company that’s growing FAST—and we want you to be a part of it.

Basically, insurance just became cool (and a lot more fun to market). Don’t fear the scary insurance terms, you know enough about design, and we’ll teach you everything else.

A Day in the Life of the Designer

We all have unique insights to contribute and the designer’s role isn’t always #000000 & #FFFFFF. This isn’t a Groundhog Day scenario where every day starts and ends the same. One day you might be creating cannabis-themed landing pages, and the next you’re getting a booklet ready to print for art festivals. Other projects could include illustrating visual concepts, print materials & banners, user interfaces, static ads, and much more. We’ll also try to make space for you to pitch your own ideas and projects.?

If there’s one thing that you can expect, it's that you’ll be at a place that likes you and treats you like a human being.?

What’s In It For You:

Money. No kidding; nobody works for free here. The budgeted salary range for this position is $50K - $70K.

Veracity offers 160 hours of PTO (sick or vacation) plus 2 floating holidays per year, a 401K with a company match plan, health/dental/vision plans, free mental health resources and more! We also do regular team activities, lunches, and genuinely enjoy time with each other.

Of course, nothing compares to being part of explosive growth, impacting that growth personally, and working with some truly remarkable people. See what they say about working at Veracity:

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

You’ll need a base level of professional familiarity with the Adobe Suite Products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and XD (or Figma), and related design production tools. You’ll need a strong sense of design aesthetics and know how to design for a purpose and result.

Jr. Designers are expected to learn new tools and skills as they work, such as WordPress, HubSpot, Elementor, bubble.io and potentially more. We hope you’ll also enjoy working with other talented people in the world of digital marketing and that you’ll be eager for feedback and collaboration.

We’ll get you the gear you need, but you’ll need your own dependable wifi connection if you’re remote. You’ll need to professionally receive, implement, and give constructive feedback in a group setting. It can also help to know some HTML & CSS basics, but it’s not required.

What is required? Passionate creativity and an attitude of being humble, hungry, smart, and proactive. And if you’re that, you’re one of us.

Work Schedule:

No surprises here, the expectation is a 40-hour workweek minimum. Since you have a life outside of work, there’s some flexibility when it comes to in-and-out times. You’ll work with your manager on a schedule that fits your lifestyle and the team. All we ask is that your work day falls between the hours of 6 AM-6 PM MST (whether that means 8-4, 9-5, etc.). This position can be remote, in-office (in Utah), or blended (remote and in-office). You’ll work that out with your manager, too. Just know we’re flexible.?

How to Apply:

Submit your application through our website or the job board you found this posting on. Initial interviews will be virtual. Since this job can be remote, a relocation allowance is not available.
