Seminole County Legal Aid is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time paralegal. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social justice and a desire to make a positive impact in our community. Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, records, and documentation.

Prepare, file, and serve approved court pleadings.

Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and schedule appointments.

Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing correspondence.

Assist with client intake, screening, and eligibility determination for legal services.

Assist with community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of legal rights and resources available to underserved populations.

Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and community partners to provide holistic legal services to clients.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in legal studies, Political Science, English or another related field and a minimum of two years’ experience, preferably in family law.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.

Demonstrated commitment to social justice and serving marginalized communities.
