Successful multi-billion dollar investment company is looking for a talented Lead FP&A Analyst Lead to join the team! This position reports to the Senior FP&A Manager at the HQ in Orange County. The ideal candidate will have a very strong foundation in FP&A, financial modeling, strong knowledge of GAAP knowledge, and advanced excel/technical skills.

The Finance Planning and Analysis Lead is responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analytical functions. This position will be collaborating with various departments to develop budgets, forecast financial performance, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures

Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

Generate project budget reports and lead review meetings

Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Modeling tools

Prepare PowerPoint presentations summarizing reported results, forecasts and analytics as well as recommendations

Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports

Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports

Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies

Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives

Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes

Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis

Prepare presentations to Senior Management Team

Assist Finance team with month end close procedures

Any other work as directed by management

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required; finance or accounting major preferred (other mathematically rigorous majors will also be considered, if coupled with strong business acumen, knowledge of finance and relevant work experience)

CPA preferred, but not required (CPA candidates will be considered as well)

Three to five years work experience in accounting or finance

Fluency with Excel formulas and functions; proficiency in financial modeling techniques

Strong PowerPoint skills; proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite generally

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

Keen eye for detail and ability to work independently

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities

Commitment to consistently meet strict deadlines

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Team focused and open to feedback from all levels

High degree of ethics and confidentiality
