Our Client is a leading Consulting Engineering firm, with multiple locations across Canada, and over 30 years of delivering high quality building engineering services. They specialize in Mechanical Design and Engineering Solutions for HVAC, Plumbing and draining, Fire Protection, and Sustainable Design Alternatives relevant to Residential and Mixed-Use High-Rise, Commercial, and Institutional Building Construction projects.

Your new role

Their office in Toronto is currently seeking an Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Engineer or Designer who is capable of managing and coordinating the engineering and design of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems relevant to building construction projects. You will work with, and provide guidance to, clients, coworkers, and sub-consultants in order to ensure the completion of technically sound projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting with design and construction issues, as well as meeting and coordinating with Architects, Clients, and other consulting disciplines in order to ensure successful and timely completion of projects. You will also have the opportunity to oversee, mentor, and benefit from the support of a team of junior designers.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for position will possess post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering. They will also have 5-15+ years of engineering and design experience relevant to HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for Commercial, Institutional, Residential, and Mixed-Use High-Rise Building Construction projects. Proficiency with REVIT or AutoCAD, as well as excellent communication skills are required for this position.
