The Proposal Writer will be involved with the bidding process and acquiring new business via proposals. Reporting to the Sales department, they will support the entire life cycle of the bid project and perform other duties within the department as necessary.

Summary of Position

Composition and preparation of marketing/bid packages and contract proposals for the sales team.

Translating solutions into effective proposals

Editing, revising, and improving existing documentation.

Coordinate proposal development through regular proposal meetings to create project schedules and deadlines and coordinate responsibilities.

Designing and creating impactful visuals for proposals.

High volume document creation and file management.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines

Flexibility in scheduled hours, as required.

General administrative duties supporting the Business Development department.

Participate in events on behalf of the Company.

Additional assignments, as directed.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a post-secondary background in writing, communications, business, or another related field. Further consideration will be given to those with approximately 2 years of proposal development experience, preferably within the facilities services domain.

Exemplary written, verbal, and digital communication skills.

Strong computer and internet skills.

Must be a motivated, self starter.

Advanced knowledge of MS Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio and Adobe Acrobat is required.

Creative approach to composing presentations is a must.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills are essential.

Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
