Job Description Scheduler
The scheduler is highly organized and able to develop, implement and oversee project schedules. In this role, you will be collaborating with project managers, site supervisors and customers, setting tasks, managing, and monitoring the fleet. You may also prepare reports, and various spread sheets. To ensure success, candidates should possess solid industry knowledge and demonstrable experience in project scheduling and multi-tasking. A top-notch project scheduler will be someone whose expertise leads to the successful realization of project goals.
Description Of Duties & Scope:
Consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks
Support Construction activities to ensure efficient process workflow. Review timecards, and invoices
Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
Procure materials to support field activities, including obtaining supplier quotes, analyze for best value, verify receipt, and coordinate delivery to field teams
Coordinate and set-up meetings with team members and stakeholders document, distribute and follow-up on action items
Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitation intervention
Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff
Processes paperwork, travels to project or vendor sites
Aids with the completion of reporting and tracking deliverables.
Complete union dispatch related paperwork and communicates to the union on the company’s behalf
Able to work overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years’ experience as a project scheduler in the construction industry
Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
High level of professionalism and strong sense of urgency
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work with minimal guidance; Proactive, motivated self-starter
Valid California Driver’s License
Able to pass a criminal and driving background check
Preferred but Not Necessary:
Field Experience in commercial electrical construction
Journeyman or Master Electrician's license
Scheduler Compensation & Benefits:
Total compensation for the Scheduler is between $20/hr and $32/hr depending on experience
After 3 months, health insurance package
After one year, 401K. The company matches 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%
