Lindholm and Associates, a woman-owned, small business specializing in Federal Human Resources (HR) and Human Capital Management (HCM), has worked with more than 50 Federal Agencies, as well as private sector companies and other entities, and is currently seeking experienced Federal HR Classification Specialists and Technical Writers to join its team. Positions currently open are in the Washington, D.C. area and may require work onsite at a large federal agency, with the possibility of telework. Currently, all positions are telework during the pandemic.

Incumbents will apply a range of classification and position management functions for a variety of occupations and grades in the General Schedule or other Federal classification systems.

HR Classification Specialists will provide full classification services to support the modernization initiative in accordance with federal, Department and OPM classification standards, including all advisory and technical support. Responsibilities will include reviewing, rewriting, and classifying position descriptions for an assigned regional portfolio while accurately and consistently interpreting and applying OPM position classification standards to determine proper official position titles, occupational series, and grade levels; enforce position classification accuracy, standards and consistency in interpreting and applying position classification standards.

Technical Writers will apply classification and position management functions by writing draft Position Descriptions (PDs), as well as completing draft paperwork and forms related to the positions.

Required Experience and Responsibilities:

HR Classification Specialists: Minimum three years’ full-time experience as a Federal Classification Specialist; demonstrated ability to determine appropriate grade and series for position descriptions, adhering to all Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Department requirements; ability to provide recommendations to resolve issues, delays or disagreements on position classifications; high level of proficiency in written and oral communications.

Technical Writers: Bachelor’s or master’s degree + minimum of three years related experience; exceptional written communication skills; excellent verbal communication skills.

Security Clearance: MRPT certification/clearance. Incumbents will be required to undergo a full security background and screening process. *** Please indicate on your resume your current level of security clearance, if any.
