Warehouse Order Picker / Packing

Job Description

We are seeking a Warehouse Shipping and Packing Associate to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and accurately pack and ship customer orders. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner, meeting our customers' expectations for quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Packing:

Carefully and accurately pick items from the inventory for customer orders.

Safely package items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.

Verify the accuracy of orders to ensure the correct items are included.

Organize and label packages with shipping information and tracking numbers.

Shipping:

Utilize shipping software and equipment to generate shipping labels.

Arrange pickups and deliveries with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS).

Maintain an organized shipping area with necessary supplies and shipping materials.

Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements.

Quality Control:

Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.

Identify and report any damaged or defective products.

Address any order discrepancies or issues promptly and accurately

Adhere to safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the safe use of warehouse equipment.

Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shipping and packing goals.

Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve order-related issues.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment is a plus.

Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
