Educational/Experience requirements: High school diploma or GED; 5 to 10 years of experience in property/estate management. Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in building maintenance and/or property management, or equivalent experience preferred. 1-2 years’ experience operating a snowplow preferred. Must be effective at handling maintenance issues, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Valid New Hampshire Driver’s License required.
Reports to: Supply Chain and Facilities Manager.
Primary job responsibility: Maintain equipment, building, grounds, and infrastructure according to procedures as scheduled.
Essential requirements of position:
Ability to work independently in the performance of standard Preventive Maintenance (PM) and repair duties on equipment, machinery, and facilities.
Occasional off-shift and weekend hours are required for this position, primarily dependent on weather, but also as needed to maintain plant operations. On-call availability pertaining to building and/or property maintenance.
Removing snow and ice using plow truck, snow blower, shovel, and salt spreaders (truck mounted and walk behind).
Landscaping, including maintaining lawns and plantings on the grounds surrounding Microspec.
Perform routine quality checks and preventive maintenance on infrastructure including HVAC, compressed air, and cooling water systems.
Checking and responding to security, safety, and housekeeping issues.
Routine maintenance and safety inspections of company vehicles, tools and equipment.
Construction skills such as carpentry, Sheetrock repair, painting, plumbing, minor electrical.
Moving and arranging furniture and equipment in response to help desk requests.
Responsible for alerting management immediately of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or may occur.
Assure applicable safety standards are used which comply with all corporate policies and state and federal regulations.
Maintain accurate records of assigned tasks.
Able to convey information and issues clearly while maintaining a professional and courteous manner as the primary contact with outside service contractors, guests, vendors, and co-workers.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines.
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and have basic computer skills.
Various pick-up and delivery functions as needed for company.
Preparation of appropriate documentation.
General up-keep of the facility.
