Overview: The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of operations within the transformer manufacturing facility. This role requires expertise in Lean principles and methodologies to drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and enhance productivity while ensuring high-quality products and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the adoption and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies throughout the plant.

Identify opportunities for waste reduction, process optimization, and efficiency improvement.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and problem-solving.

Utilize Lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban, and standardized work to drive operational excellence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address bottlenecks, constraints, and inefficiencies

Lead and mentor a team of production managers, supervisors, engineers, and operators in Lean principles and practices.

Provide guidance, support, and coaching to empower employees to contribute to process improvements and problem-solving.

Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements throughout the manufacturing process.

Implement robust quality control measures, error-proofing techniques, and preventive actions to minimize defects and rework.

Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues to prevent recurrence.

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve supplier performance.

Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and risk management throughout the organization.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and industry best practices.

Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and operational benchmarks to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with senior management to align plant objectives with overall business goals and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of Transformer manufacturing industry management experience

Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.

Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant Lean methodologies preferred.

Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing production processes, and achieving operational excellence.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.

Proficiency in Lean tools and techniques, as well as experience with process improvement methodologies.

Familiarity with transformer manufacturing processes and electrical engineering concepts is a plus.
