Construction Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Estimator. Our company works on commercial, industrial and petroleum building projects, diversified experience is a plus for this position. Your job duties would include plan management, surveying potential jobsites, distributing plans, communicating with suppliers and subcontractors to procure competitive pricing for our customers and preparing overall construction estimate for review with others. Good communication skills are a plus. Additional experience in project management and scheduling would be welcomed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction science preferred, but not required.

Minimum of 5 years of construction estimating/preconstruction experience, some field experience preferred.

Self-directed, detail oriented with ability to recognize discrepancies.

Strong teamwork, interpersonal, quality decision making, problem solving, and negotiation skills needed.

Must possess a strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude to meet deadlines posed by existing and potential clients.

Proficient in Sage/Timberline estimating software, Microsoft Office products.
