JOB DESCRIPTION:
Skill set: Mainframe
Experience : 2+ Years(Project Experience - Excluding Internship/Training)
ROLE & RESPONSIBILIES :
Mainframe + PL SQL
Experience in IAM and Certification in RAFC is a plus
Open to work in Prod support and shifts
Good Comm skills
Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems (z/OS).
Proven experience in programming languages like COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, JCL, and SQL. Experience with mainframe development tools like CICS, DB2, IMS, and VSAM.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Application Development:
Analyze, design, develop, and maintain new or modified applications on the IBM z/OS Mainframe platform.
Implement new features and functionalities based on business requirements.
Write efficient and maintainable code in relevant programming languages like COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, JCL, and SQL.
Application Maintenance:
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing mainframe applications.
Apply code fixes and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and stability.
Conduct regular maintenance tasks to keep applications up-to-date and secure.
Testing and Deployment:
Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests for new and updated applications.
Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing.
Prepare and deploy applications to production environments with minimal disruption.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Document code and technical specifications clearly and concisely.
Provide technical support to other team members and end users.
Stay up-to-date on the latest mainframe technologies and trends.
