Senior Mechanical Engineer

Gsource Technologies, an innovative design-assist firm in the construction industry, is currently seeking a skilled SolidWorks / Fabrication Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 -12 years of experience in creating Fabrication Drawings, Drafting, and Detailing, with specific expertise in the US region.

Responsibilities:

Utilize SolidWorks and other relevant software to create detailed fabrication drawings, models, layouts, and sketches.

Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.

Develop and maintain accurate bill of materials (BOM) for fabrication projects.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design process.

Work with manufacturing teams to resolve any design-related issues during fabrication.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and drafters.

Review and analyze engineering designs to optimize functionality and manufacturability.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate materials and components for fabrication.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in SolidWorks / Fabrication Design, specifically in creating fabrication drawings and detailing.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, and other relevant software.

Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.

Familiarity with rainscreen design principles and practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
