Manufacturing company seeking a Mig Production Welder
Monday-Thursday 6am-430pm
$18.00
There is room for advancement
Must have 2 years of recent on the job Mig Welding experience
Must be able to stand for shift
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Responsibilities
Production welding various mechanical structures such as boat anchors, ground anchors, ladder hoists and winch mounts
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Set up equipment and fixture weld parts various parts as instructed
Use automated welding “ring” to weld various ground anchors to drawing
Complete first article inspection
Use the computer to report quantity
Report issues and defective parts
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Help as needed in other areas in the department such as “paint pack”
Various shop/welding tasks as assigned
Always maintain clean work environment. Do not leave a mess for the next shift.
Skills
Proven experience as welder
MIG welding on carbon steel is the most common practice
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
Attention to detail
Experience with flux core welding preferred, but not required
Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) preferred, but not required
Requirements
Stand 10+ Hours daily
Able to lift +/- 50 lbs.
Able to work in a warehouse that is not climate controlled
Must be able to see details at close range
