Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Radiation Therapist, under the direction of a radiation oncologist, uses the process of ionizing radiation to treat cancer patients. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for collecting relevant patient information and using this information to plan a patient’s treatment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Technical/Professional Training/Degree in Radiation Therapy

· BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross only)

· ARRT (R) (T)

· Kansas Radiological Technologist Licensure (LRT)

· Proficiency in MOSAIQ

· Current knowledge of appropriate clinical practice, radiation protection and quality assurance, patient management and care, charges, basic dosimetry and equipment

HOURS:

· Full-Time; Day shift

· Monday-Friday (8am-4:30pm)
