Job Description

Top Three Skills:

1. 5+ years of interface/integration analysis experience. Must have experience with data integration / ETL work (multiple applications, working on a solution that cuts across the organization. Understanding of downstream data flows)

2. Must have 2+ years of experience working/implementing an API integration.

3. Technical skills- SQL (Toad is plus), API, XML, HL7 or EDI

4. Experience working in an Agile environment.

High preference for candidates with HL7 or FHIR experience as they will be working with these healthcare standards.

The Senior Systems Analyst (BSA) will lead the business systems analysis effort for data integration projects necessary to successfully support the various product groups listed. The Senior System BSA will be the liaison between our technical teams including QA and our business consumers. This position will perform the initial data integrations requirements analysis, create functional specification documents including source to target mappings, data flows and context diagrams for data required to enable the request, create user stories and solution integration test plans and provide support throughout the project development lifecycle.

The Senior BSA will direct team resources (other integrations business analysts / developers) in accordance with the assigned project business objective, identified internal data integration ETL tracks and agreed upon data integrations project plan and ensure issues are identified, tracked and resolved in a timely manner. The lead analyst will assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules for the data integration components and communicate status to the PMO.

The Senior BSA will clearly follow the SDLC life cycle and manage the data integrations GATES between business, developers, and QA. This coordination between all entities as to the functional design objective of the project is critical including adhering to the gates in both a waterfall and agile environment.

The resource will work with a Scrum framework to deliver service-based integrations as APIs that expose data from our systems of record for IT projects and programs.

Partner with product owners and product managers to create user stories that describe the work needed and identify the data integration criteria which defines success.

Partner with the scrum master to continually refine the product backlog and aid in sprint planning.

Elicit information from those teams that will be necessary for integration team to complete work.

Understand the desired outcome for API integration and be able to validate the design for the API and all its pieces based on discovery with the system of record.

Perform technical mapping of data from system of record format to the API format Communicate and collaborate with product manager and product owner to understand the solution and break it down in to user stories.

Work with minimal supervision to find the sources and people needed to get the necessary information for the analysis

Regularly work with the scrum team to groom stories in the backlog for further clarity and completeness.

Work with members of the scrum team from Development and QA to answer questions and clarify requirements. Investigate and resolve any issues related to data quality.

Adhere to AGILE project management methodology by utilizing internal procedures and tools.

Ensure that our delivery framework artifacts are created correctly and have the necessary traceability.

Skill & REQUIREMENTS:

Understanding and experience using structured data such as HL7, FHIR, XML and experience mapping documents from one format to another.

SQL query experience. (Toad ).

Experience with developing integration/ API user stories for the data usage to support processes between functions and systems (Request and Response)

Knowledge of Web Service API’s – SOAP, XML, REST, JSON

Healthcare IT experience is a plus

Ability to successfully interact with business-focused and technically-focused parties and bring them together.

Experience delivering software solutions using agile development methodologies (scrum, SAFe, Kanban)

Experience writing user stories acceptance criteria Knowledge of health care domains for integration features “source to target”.
