Who You Are…

As IT Support Specialist, you are responsible for providing technical support to the computer users of the Company in person, by phone, or electronically. This role answers questions, resolves problems, and provides direction related to the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, email, and operating systems.

This Position…

Some examples of the work you might do includes:

Troubleshoots desktop and laptop hardware and software issues to successful resolution.

Diagnoses computer-related network issues for appropriate escalation and mitigation.

Provides thorough help-desk support to employees and documents outcomes.

Sets up and terminates user email accounts.

Prepares equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation and configuration of cables, operating systems, software, etc.

Facilitates the replacement of equipment according to company policy.

Performs minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment as needed.

Analyzes software/hardware and makes upgrade and improvement recommendations to management.

Takes initiative to remain current on pertinent or emerging technological trends.

What You Need…

5+ years of relevant experience.

Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Azure VM, AZURE AD etc.

Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, desktop antivirus software, and Dell computer hardware.

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under limited supervision.

Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.

Strong customer service, organizational, problem-solving, and active listening skills.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, primarily to remote company office locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree is preferred.

Microsoft Azure Administration

Google Workspace experience

As we migrate to a full Azure architecture, experience or familiarity with Cisco Network Gear, Google Apps, VMWare, Microsoft Server, SQL Server, Autodesk products, Cisco Umbrella Firewall, SentinelOne Antivirus, and mobile device application development is beneficial.

Work Environment:

This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and printers.

Physical Demands:

In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.

This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
