MIDTOWN CHICAGO is looking for a Seasonal Pool Deck Host to add to our first class organization. The Pool Deck Host will be responsible for enhancing the guest experience and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for members and at the Midtown Athletic Club pool.
The position will be from May until Labor Day. The Pool Deck Host will work directly with members and their children directing traffic from the lobby to the pool, handing out towels, assigning pool chairs, working with servers and housekeeping to ensure the pool area remains clutter-free & organized, as well as acting as a customer service representative for the club.

POOL DECK HOST
Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
Hand out towels and assist in towel pickup
Assign pool chairs and escort members to seating
Monitor the pool area to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests
Act as a customer service representative for the club, answering member questions and responding to any concerns
Work with servers and house-keeping to ensure the pool area is clean, clutter-free, and well-maintained at all times
Assist Lifeguards when emergency action plan is activated (Call 911 if necessary)
Manage Pool Deck lost & found
Enforce Pool Deck Etiquette and Youth Area Code
Other duties as assigned by the Hospitality Manager
Reports to Hospitality Manager
$19/Hour + Midtown Employee Membership

LEAD POOL DECK HOST
More $ + More Responsibility
Works closely with Hospitality Manager
MVP of Team (adept at all PDH positions: POS, Waitlist, Rover, Seater, Chair Guard)
Acts as “Universal Quarterback,” constantly roving the deck and lending support wherever the team needs it most
Responsible for running team pre-shift each morning, spot corrections of team, assisting in call-offs and schedule coverage, various admin tasks, etc
Ideally interested in transitioning to a full-time role in another Midtown Department after the Summer season
$20+/Hour based on experience

WORK SCHEDULE
Part-Time; Seasonal Summer Position; Weekends Only (Fri-Sun)
Position runs from May 10th- Sept 2 (Labor Day)
Training Week: May 10th-16th
Soft Open: May 17-19
Grand Open: May 24-27
Shifts ranging from 8:45am-6pm
Schedule will vary and will include Summer holidays.
