Job Description

We are seeking a Manager of Plant Operations who will report directly to the Assistant Vice President of Facilities. This person is primarily responsible for the Custodial, Buildings and Grounds, and Mechanical Services of the College. This is a full-time, administrative position.

Example of Duties:

Supervise all Facilities support staff and Facilities related operations college-wide.

Coordinate the work order system college wide.

Oversee the College's preventive maintenance program as it relates to mechanical systems and equipment college-wide.

Assist the Assistant Vice President of Facilities with the implementations of Capital and Chapter 12 Renovation and Repair projects college-wide.

Support Assistant Manager of Plant Operations in keeping the College's systems operating properly and efficiently.

Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of College vehicles.

Participate in snow removal supervision.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President of Facilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of supervisory-level experience in a facility and/or mechanical equipment related environment; or an Associate's degree and 8 years supervisory-level experience in a facilities and/or mechanical equipment related environment; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 10 years supervisory-level experience in a facilities and/or mechanical equipment-related environment.

Knowledge of computerized work order systems (School Dude preferred) and Microsoft Office programs.

The ability to work independently and perform hands on work in emergency and training situations.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record within the last three years.

The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
