We are actively seeking five dynamic, highly motivated local individuals to fill the roles of entry-level IT Field Technicians. Job Description:

The IT Field Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our clients' IT systems. This role involves installing network cabling, setting up IT hardware, troubleshooting technical issues, and traveling between multiple client sites across Chicago. Reliable transportation is a must.

Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance: Deploy and maintain network cabling systems, IT hardware, and related equipment.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, providing timely and accurate customer support.

Client Interaction: Engage with clients professionally, addressing their IT needs with clear communication.

Training Application: Utilize training on networking, IT fundamentals, and practical experience effectively in real-world situations.

Travel and Time Management: Efficiently manage daily travel across various client sites to ensure prompt service delivery.

Training Provided:

Initial Training: Engage in 2 days of intensive onsite training that covers networking cabling basics and IT fundamentals.

Ongoing Training: Complete 2 weeks of on-the-job training to reinforce knowledge and skills. Please note that the training period is unpaid.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills: Strong interest in technology, excellent problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

Characteristics: Local to Chicago, proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working independently.

Transportation: Must possess reliable transportation for traveling between client sites as needed.

Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.

Compensation:

Post-Training Compensation: After completion of the training period, payment is assignment-based, starting at $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience.
