A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will spend most of your time independently managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs. You will reliably and accurately handle accounts payable for several office locations and vendors.
You will excel at ensuring bills are paid in a timely and correct manner while adhering to departmental procedures. You will process due invoices for payments.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Associate degree in Accounting and prior accounting experience preferred
Previous work experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk
Exceptional computer skills working with Microsoft Office
Must have hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Excellent understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Outstanding degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Despite a fast pace and short timeframes, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple large volume tasks. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve processes and documentation to minimize errors.
