Job Description

As an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively will contribute to the smooth operation of our financial activities.

Responsibilities:

Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.

Process incoming payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers regarding payment status.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes with customers.

Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and customer interactions and send month end statements.

Assist with month-end closing processes and account reconciliation.

Collaborate with other departments to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to accounts receivable.

Receive and verify expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.

Records entries and verifies documentation.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficient in QuickBooks for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
