The Excalibur Group is currently seeking an Employment Specialist to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage with workforce development and career training for populations like the District’s Customers.

Provide excellent coaching, facilitation, and teaching skills.

Prepare Customers for employment through classroom instruction. By creatively mixing the training topics and modes of delivery, the Employment Specialist shall be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment whereby Customers continue to remain motivated throughout the employment preparation process.

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in adult learning, workforce development, career training or other employment related field.

Prior experience working with populations like the District’s Customers.

Proficient at facilitation and coaching.

Demonstrated experience in effective communication.

Computer literate; able to create stimulating learning environments and keep Customers engaged.

Sound understanding of key activities that Customers must complete to successfully gain and retain employment.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Mon. – Fri. 8:30am – 5pm
