The Senior Program Manager, Mortgage Education Compliance, is responsible for the day-to-day management of a program focused on examining and validating information to ensure course providers meet and maintain Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) business and course delivery standards in accordance with the NMLS Standards of Conduct and other policies.

This individual maintains and reports against a list of key performance indicators (KPIs) and initiates action when measures are not met. This individual is also responsible for leading work groups and/or other efforts to evaluate current policies and makes recommendations to stakeholders to enhance CSBS policies. The individual may also be responsible for responding to complaints and providing investigative support of alleged violation(s) of NMLS policies and/or Standards of Conduct.

The Senior Program Manager, Mortgage Education Compliance will produce regular reports to senior management and the Mortgage Testing and Education Board (MTEB).

Manage Course Provider Approval/ Renewal Processes: Manage the processes associated with examining and validating information required to achieve and maintain approval as a course provider for the Mortgage Education Program. Routinely evaluate application documents and work processes and assess effectiveness of tasks to maximize time and resources. Be willing to make recommendations and advocate for process change when warranted.

Perform Compliance Examinations: Initiate and complete examinations of approved courses and providers either in person or remotely to ensure course delivery and business operations are in accordance with approval standards.

Report Against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Maintain and report against KPIs associated with the program. Initiate actions when KPIs fail to meet standards. Make recommendations for improving and/or reporting KPIs.

Make Policy Recommendations and Set Goals: As applicable, form work groups and/or work collaboratively to review, research, and make recommendations to update policies to ensure they are in alignment with the CSBS strategic plan or Business Unit goals. Leverage work and industry experience and work with other testing and education program leaders to set and achieve goals with a focus on measuring effectiveness and minimizing risk to the integrity of the program.

Investigate complaints: Investigate complaints from industry regarding course delivery and/or the business activities of approved course providers. Upon request, provide support in investigations of alleged violation(s) of NMLS policies and/or Standards of Conduct. Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.

Education

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. Experience

5 to 8 years related experience preferably in banking or the mortgage industry, education, or accreditation/certification program management.

Experience in adult education/teaching (both classroom and online). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

In-depth knowledge of CSBS Mortgage Testing & Education policies and procedures.

Advanced knowledge of the criteria and standards associated with approving course providers to deliver NMLS approved courses.

Understanding how to report against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Understanding of the goals and strategic direction of the Products and Solutions Business Unit and CSBS strategic goals.

Aptitude for learning and leveraging technology.

Strong customer-service/account management skills.

Strong speaking and writing skills (articulate communicator).

Able to manage multiple issues concurrently.

Must be able to interpret policy requirements/intentions and be able to analyze various approaches that may be taken to satisfy such requirements.
